LIFTCHEM-UV Curing Raw Materials, Pharmaceutical Intermediates
ECure BP is a high purity, non-cleaving, solid photoinitiator which is used to initiate the UV polymerization of chemically unsaturated prepolymers (e.g. acrylates) in combination with tertiary amine synergists.
ECure BP is general free radical photoinitiator with excellent reactivity and cost effectivity. It is widely used in UV-curable inks, adhesives, coatings.
It also can be used as the intermediate to synthesize organic pigments, pharmaceuticals, spices and pesticides.
The recommended dosage is 3-5% w/w.
Benzophenone
Formula: C13H10O
Molecular Weight: 182.2
CAS No.: 119-61-9
Benzophenone can be used as a photoinitiator in ultraviolet (UV) curing applications such as inks, imaging and clear coatings in the printing industry. Benzophenone prevents UV rays from damaging the scent and color of products such as perfumes and soaps.
Benzophenone can also be added to plastic packaging as a UV blocker to prevent photodegradation of the packaging polymer or its contents. With it, manufacturers can package products in clear glass or plastic, such as PETE water bottles. Without it, opaque or dark packaging is required.
